Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Chicken Lettuce Wraps are healthy, packed with flavor, and incredibly easy to make! Ready in just 25 minutes and perfect for a delicious appetizer, lunch, or dinner. They are budget-friendly and taste better than the restaurant version.

Ingredients
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon ginger powder
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
½ tablespoon rice vinegar
⅛ cup Hoisin sauce
1 chicken breast, cut into small pieces
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1 large carrot, thinly sliced
1 head of romaine lettuce leaves
½ tablespoon sesame oil
Directions
Step 1
Place the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, onion powder, ginger powder, and garlic powder in a jar. Shake well to combine.
Step 2
In a saucepan, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken stirring from time to time, for about 10 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
Step 3
Stir in the sauce, and leave it to bubble for a few minutes until thickened. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
Step 4
Place the lettuce leaves on a wooden board and spoon in the chicken mixture. Drizzle with green onions and carrots. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
1. To store, Place the lettuce and meat in different airtight food storage containers in the refrigerator where it will last for up to 5 days.
2. The filling can be stored in a freezer bag in the freezer for about 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
